Delatite Wines is approx. 15 minutes from ViewBuller@Merrijg, and has spectacular views of the Alpine region, including Mt. Buller. The wine selection caters for everyone from sparkling, sweet to dry, lighter style reds to the fuller bodied reds. On weekends wood fire pizzas are available along with a selection of platters, bookings are recommended. Wrong Side Brewery – Jamieson
Located on the banks of Lake Eildon, with picturesque views, hand crafted brews and a nifty café, Wrong Side Brewery is worth a visit. A range of events are held o different weekends throughout the year, so visit their website and Facebook page for current details. The brewery is a 40 minute scenic drive from ViewBuller@Merrijig. There is a café onsite as well, please refer to their Facebook page or phone the venue for details.
Local Supplies
For bread, milk, beer and wine and extra basic supplies, visit the Merrijig Motor Inn, a five minute drive from the house. It has fresh coffee, take-away food including wood fired pizzas on Friday nights. Snow equipment, including chains are also available.
Mirimbah general store is located at the base of Mt Buller, and has basic food supplies, breakfast/lunch and coffee. Fuel also available.
Mansfield also has a great selection of pubs, cafes and shops, and two supermarkets (IGA and Food Works). There is also a farmers market which is held on the 4th Saturday of the month from 8.30-1.00pm (Feb-Dec) located in the high street median strip. Delatite River
ViewBuller@Merrijig is very closely located to the Delatite River, you can actually hear the flowing stream when the water is running. This a beautiful spot to swim in the warmer months or a great spot for a morning walk.
Mt Buller
The gates to Mt Buller (and Mt Stirling) is a short five minute drive from the house, a great spot for skiing in the winter months or walking or mountain bike riding over the warmer months. A bus to Mt Buller is also available (during winter months), on the corner of Alpine Ridge Drive and Mt Buller Road.
There are a great range of walks for differing levels of fitness, at both Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. There are a selection of walking maps available for use at the house. BBQ facilities and playground are also located at the gates of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling. There are also some great spots to take a dip over the summer months.
Mansfield Zoo

Lake William Hovell
A Beautiful lake, located in the King Valley, approximately 1 ½ hour drive through beautiful country side, well worth the drive. A fantastic day trip, with great swimming areas, fishing, canoeing, BBQ and picnic facilities, and toilets provided. Also many wineries around the area, several down the road from the Lake.
Howes Creek Farm
A lovely place for the family to visit with local produce grown on site, including vegetables, pork and other small goods. The Café is also open for breakfast, lunch and coffee throughout the day. Farm tours are available on weekends. For more information visit their Facebook page.
